Find the Best Option for Selling Your Junk Car in Chicago when You Can’t Find the Title

2) Apply for Expedited Title Service – There’s some select Illinois Secretary of State offices that will let you apply for expedited title services. For an additional $30 fee on top of the $95 transaction fee you can get your duplicate title in as little as 1 day.  In Chicago you can visit any of these 4 locations:

• Chicago Central – 100 W. Randolph Ste. C100, Chicago, IL 60628
• Chicago North – 5401 Elston Ave., Chicago, IL 60630
• Chicago South – 9901 S. King Dr., Chicago, IL 60628
• Chicago West 7– 5301 W. Lexington Ave., Chicago, IL 60644

According to the office of the Illinois Secretary of State Website:

Requests submitted by 12 p.m. will be shipped UPS that day or available for pickup that day in the Springfield facility. Requests submitted after 12 p.m. will be shipped UPS the next business day or available for pickup the next business day in the Springfield Howlett Secretary of State Facility.
